USEFUL TIPS
- Please try to arrive for your examination with a full bladder if possible (a urine test or urine flow
measurement may be required, which must be performed at the clinic).
- For urodynamic examinations, be sure to arrive with a full bladder! Make sure you have a bowel
movement on the day of the examination (an empty rectum makes the measurement easier).
- It is not necessary to come on an empty stomach, feel free to have lunch and drink plenty of fluids!
Take your necessary medications!
- Bring your previous discharge summaries, outpatient examination results, and a list of your current
medications, and hand them to the assistant upon arrival.
- If you have urinary retention, voiding disorders, neurogenic bladder dysfunction, vaginal prolapse
symptoms, or are coming for a screening examination, please bring a completed voiding diary and urinary
incontinence questionnaire. In case of prostate enlargement, also bring the IPSS questionnaire (see
downloadable documents). If you cannot print or fill out the questionnaires at home, our assistant will
be happy to help you upon arrival. In this case, please arrive at the reception 5-10 minutes earlier.
You can also prepare a voiding diary at home. The point is to record for 2 days when (hour, minute) and
how much (dl) fluid you drank, and when (hour, minute) and how much (dl) urine you passed (this must be
measured). Please also indicate when you had a strong urge to urinate and any involuntary urine loss.
