Dr. Majoros Attila

Dr. Attila Majoros PhD, med habil, Associate Professor (Semmelweis University, Department of Urology), Urologist (FEBU), Obstetrician-Gynecologist

Biography:
Born in 1971, married, with two children. Graduated as a medical doctor "Summa cum laude" from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1996. Since graduation, I have been a staff member at the Department of Urology, currently leading one of the departments and the Continence Center, and serving as the scientific and educational deputy director.

Board certified in Hungarian urology (2002), European urology (2005), and obstetrics-gynecology (2012). Defended my PhD thesis in 2007 on "Etiology and investigation of urinary incontinence after radical retropubic prostatectomy." Habilitated at Semmelweis University in 2023, with theses on "Etiology, investigation, and treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunctions."

Main interests: investigation and treatment (conservative and surgical) of urinary incontinence, especially surgical management of male incontinence, neurourology (diagnosis and therapy of neurogenic bladder dysfunction), and urogynecology (borderline gynecological problems: vaginal prolapse, descent, urinary tract injuries, fistula repair).

Spent over a year and a half abroad for work and study trips. Introduced several new diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures at Semmelweis University Department of Urology (intravesical electrostimulation, sacral neuromodulation, extended pelvic floor reconstruction with and without implants, artificial sphincter implantation) and in Hungary (adjustable sling implantation for mild-moderate male urinary incontinence). My scientific work has been recognized with numerous awards. Number of publications: 250, IF: 51.7. Delivered over 400 presentations at national and international congresses. Participate in medical student education in Hungarian, English, and German. Clinical coordinator for urology resident training. Former co-chair of the Joint Urogynecology Section of the Hungarian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Hungarian Urological Society, board member of the Hungarian Urological Society and the Hungarian Continence and Urogynecology Society, former member of the Urology Council of the National Health Professional College. Member of the European and German Urological Societies. Organizer of numerous conferences, scientific meetings, and trainings.

Biography:
Born in 1987 in West Germany. Graduated as a medical doctor from Semmelweis University in 2012 and started working at the Department of Urology. My initial interest was in tumor diseases, mainly prostate cancer, later shifting towards functional urology, involuntary urine loss, neurological problems causing urinary complaints, and gynecological urology (urogynecology). I passed the unified European urology board exam in 2018 and defended my doctoral (PhD) thesis in 2020 on the surgical management of incontinence. In the same year, I became an assistant lecturer, and in 2023, I was appointed assistant professor.

I am a founding member of the Pelvic Pain Working Group at Semmelweis University and a board member of the Hungarian Continence and Urogynecology Society. I am the author and presenter of 30 scientific publications in English, Hungarian, and German, and have given more than 100 congress and classroom presentations. I am a member of three national and eight international scientific societies and a reviewer for three national and five international scientific journals.

Dr. Molnár Péter József

Role: Performing specialist urological examinations (physical examination, urological ultrasound (US), urine sediment rapid test, uroflowmetry, digital rectal examination (DRE), bladder endoscopy (cystoscopy), urodynamic testing), preparation of medical reports, development of a therapeutic plan, provision of conservative treatment, organization of surgical care, and providing second opinions.
Professional Profile: General urology, investigation of urinary complaints (LUTS/BPH), urinary tract infections (including recurrent cases), phytotherapy (herbal treatment), prevention, prostate cancer screening, evaluation and conservative treatment of urinary incontinence, prehabilitation counseling for continence before prostate surgery, minimally invasive urology.

Biography:
Born in 1993 in Budapest, completed high school studies at Eötvös József High School in Budapest.
Graduated as a medical doctor from Semmelweis University Faculty of General Medicine in 2018 with summa cum laude honors.
Earned a scientific degree (PhD) in 2024 as a scholarship recipient of the MD-PhD Excellence Program at the Doctoral School of Semmelweis University, Theoretical and Translational Medical Sciences Section, under the supervision of Prof. Zoltán Benyó, focusing on the regulation of bladder smooth muscle tone.
Completed urology specialist training at Semmelweis University Department of Urology, passed the urology board exam (European Board of Urology, EBU) in 2024.
Completed the "Harvard Medical School - Clinical Sciences Scholarship at Semmelweis University" clinical research program in the 2024/2025 academic year.
Current interests include functional urology and minimally invasive urological surgery (laparoscopy, robotic surgery).
At UROPERSPEKT Medical Center, in addition to general urological examinations, I perform lower urinary tract functional, urological ultrasound and urodynamic examinations, as well as the investigation and management of involuntary urine loss.

Guttengeber Anna

Anna Guttengeber, Clinical Psychology

I am Anna Guttengeber, a clinical psychologist. In addition to private practice, I work at the Semmelweis University Department of Urology, primarily dealing with the assessment and treatment of psychological symptoms associated with urological diseases. My areas of interest also include anxiety, mood, and somatization disorders.

In addition to the main professional profile of the Uroperspekt clinic (e.g., urinary retention and voiding disorders, chronic pelvic pain), I have experience in treating psychological complaints associated with urological cancers and male fertility problems, as well as female and male sexual dysfunctions.

Within the scope of the clinic, I also deal with psychological complaints not related to physical illness.

In my work, I use cognitive-behavioral and person-centered methods, which have proven effective in the following areas:
• Treatment of mood disorders and anxiety disorders
• Treatment of sexual dysfunctions
• Anxiety and stress management

Biography:
Born in 1973 in Budapest. Graduated from Móra Ferenc Health Secondary School in 1991. Obtained adult nursing qualification in 1992 and surgical assistant qualification in 1997. Since 1992, I have been working at Semmelweis University, currently as the head assistant of the Continence Center and Urodynamics Laboratory at the Department of Urology.

Selley Dóra

Biography:
My name is Dóra Selley, born November 1, 1983 in Budapest.
Nursing and healing have been close to my heart since childhood. I graduated as a registered nurse from Semmelweis University Faculty of Health Sciences in 2007. During my studies, it quickly became clear that my main interests were anesthesiology, intensive care, emergency care, and of course, urology.
In 2013, I also obtained an adult anesthesiology and intensive care nursing qualification and, in addition to my work at the Department of Urology at Semmelweis University, I worked full-time for 14 years at the Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit of the ÉPC Honvéd Hospital I. site.
Currently, I work at the Outpatient Clinic of the Department of Urology.
I am most proud of my two children, and I spend my free time with them, reading, and hiking.
